When something has “gone to the dogs”, it has gotten worse/deteriorated.
It’s quite an informal idiom. Use with caution.
Examples :
. “England has gone to the dogs since Brexit.”
. “Customer service has gone to the dogs since that bank was taken over last year.”
. “The teams went to the dogs when Ronaldo left the club.”
